Furthermore, entrepreneurs are required to be flexible and act effectively in the social interactions in order to enhance their business, achieve a better target, and can elaborate in many opportunities in their environment. Based on the connecting point between field requirement and previous literature, Emotional Intelligence (EI) can be stated as an important influence for entrepreneurial characteristics. Therefore, this paper aims to to explore the influences of EI toward each variable and general dimension of entrepreneurial characteristics. This paper also explores what kind of EI competencies which have direct and specific significant influences to the entrepreneurial characteristics. This paper uses quantitative research methodology by retrieving data from entrepreneurs based on emotional intelligence as well as its competencies and entrepreneurial characteristic tests. The result is then processed statistically using multiple regression analysis. The finding of this paper describes the key factors which have significant influences, and also describes how these key factors affect each others. By looking at previous research which stated that EI and entrepreneurial characteristics have only indirect relationship, this paper give new understanding about the direct and significant influence between them.
